This is the first lighting ceremony in the history of the Asian Games in which “digital people” participated, and it is also the first time in the world that more than 100 million “digital torchbearers” have lit the cauldron tower called “Tidal Surge” together with the real cauldronbearers.
In order to make the online torch relay and lighting ceremony accessible to everyone, in the past three years, engineers have conducted more than 100,000 tests on more than 300 mobile phones of different ages and models, knocked down more than 200,000 lines of code, and ensured that users who used 8-year-old mobile phones can smoothly become “digital torchbearers” and participate in the torch relay through the combination of 3D interactive engine, AI digital human, cloud service, blockchain and other technologies.
