Even with the same amount of nitrogen gas produced, it requires less compressed air to achieve this. Moreover, when the production line stops using air, the system can automatically identify changes in demand and switch to an energy-saving mode, reducing energy consumption to nearly zero.

Regarding the purity of nitrogen for analysis, it is not advisable to blindly pursue the highest possible level. Different industries have vastly different requirements for nitrogen purity. The higher the purity, the higher the energy consumption and the procurement cost. There is no need to waste money unnecessarily. For food packaging, general storage, and purging protection: 99.5% to 99.9% is sufficient; for laser cutting, heat treatment, and metal welding: 99.9% to 99.99%, with this purity, the cut surface will be smooth and there will be no oxidation; for medicine, lithium batteries, photovoltaics, and electronic semiconductors: 99.999% (5N) high-purity nitrogen is necessary, and the dew point and cleanliness must also keep up; many bosses think that the higher the purity, the more reliable it is. They directly choose 5N equipment, but when used in ordinary workshops, the electricity cost is 30% higher than that of their peers. Over several years, this results in a waste of tens of thousands of yuan. Being sufficient is the best.

Regarding the calculation of actual gas consumption, it is essential to leave a sufficient margin. The gas production unit is Nm³/h, which stands for standard cubic meters per hour. It is not enough to only consider the stable gas consumption during normal times; the peak maximum gas consumption must also be calculated, and then an additional 15% to 25% margin should be added. For example, if the normal gas consumption is 20 cubic meters per hour, and the peak consumption is 25 cubic meters, the minimum selection should be for a 30 cubic meter model. The fluctuations in gas consumption during the day and night in the workshop, equipment expansion, and pipeline losses should all be taken into account. It is better to choose a larger model rather than being constrained by the gas volume. If the gas supply is insufficient, the production line will be stalled, and the losses will be much greater than the difference in equipment prices.

Depending on the different usage environments, dust, moisture and explosion-proof must all be considered. For chemical, spraying and flammable/explosive workshops, motors and solenoid valves must have explosion-proof rating Exd II BT4. In humid workshops in the south, proper anti-corrosion and moisture-proof measures must be taken; in dusty workshops in the north, the pre-filter system must be upgraded; otherwise, the molecular sieve will be scrapped after two or three years. Once these four aspects are fixed, when choosing the machine, the direction will not be deviated.
