We are excited to announce that in the KDON8000/11000 project in Xinjiang by Hangzhou Nuzhuo Technology Group Co., Ltd., the lower tower has been successfully positioned. This project features an 8000-cubic-meter oxygen plant and an 11000-cubic-meter nitrogen plant, which will play a significant role in meeting the local industrial gas demands.
Working Principle of Cryogenic Air Separation Unit
Cryogenic air separation equipment separates the components of air, mainly oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, based on the different boiling points of these gases. First, the raw air is filtered, compressed, and cooled. During this process, impurities like water vapor and carbon dioxide are removed. Then, the cooled air is further purified and enters the distillation column. In the distillation column, through a complex heat and mass transfer process, oxygen with a higher boiling point and nitrogen with a lower boiling point are gradually separated. The entire process requires a very low temperature environment, usually reaching below -200°C.
Application Fields of Nitrogen and Oxygen
Oxygen
Medical Field: Oxygen is crucial for patients with respiratory problems or in surgical operations. Adequate oxygen supply can save lives and improve the recovery process of patients.
Industrial Production: In the steel industry, oxygen is used for steelmaking to increase the purity of steel and improve production efficiency. In the chemical industry, it participates in various chemical reactions, such as the production of ethylene oxide.
Nitrogen
Food Industry: Nitrogen is used for food packaging to replace oxygen, which can prevent food from oxidation, mildew, and spoilage, thus extending the shelf life of food.
Electronics Industry: High-purity nitrogen is used to create an inert atmosphere in the production of semiconductors, protecting the electronic components from oxidation and contamination.
