1. Cryogenic air separation nitrogen generator

The cryogenic air separation nitrogen generator is a traditional nitrogen production method and has a history of nearly several decades. Using air as raw material, after compression and purification, the air is liquefied into liquid air through heat exchange.

Liquid air is mainly a mixture of liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen. By taking advantage of the difference in boiling points between liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen (at 1 atmosphere pressure, the boiling point of the former is -183 ° C and that of the latter is -196 ° C), nitrogen is obtained through liquid air distillation separation. The cryogenic batch nitrogen production equipment is complex, occupies a large area, has high construction costs, requires a large one-time investment in equipment, has high operating costs, produces gas slowly (12 to 24 hours), has high installation requirements and a long cycle. Taking into account various factors such as equipment, installation and construction, for equipment with a capacity of 3,500 Nm3/h or less, the investment scale of PSA units of the same specification is 20% to 50% lower than that of cryogenic air separation units. The cryogenic separation nitrogen generation device is suitable for large-scale industrial nitrogen production, but it is not economical for medium and small-scale nitrogen production.

2. Molecular sieve nitrogen generator:

PSA nitrogen production is a method that uses air as raw material and carbon molecular sieves as adsorbents. It adopts the principle of pressure swing adsorption and utilizes the selective adsorption of carbon molecular sieves for oxygen and nitrogen to separate nitrogen and oxygen. This method is a new type of nitrogen production technology that developed rapidly in the 1970s.

Compared with traditional nitrogen production methods, it features a simple process, high degree of automation, fast gas production (15 to 30 minutes), low energy consumption, adjustable product purity within a wide range according to user requirements, convenient operation and maintenance, low operating costs, and good suitability of the equipment

3. Membrane air separation nitrogen generator

Using air as the raw material, under certain pressure conditions, oxygen and nitrogen and other gases with different properties are separated by taking advantage of their different permeation rates in the membrane.

Compared with other hydrogen production equipment, it has the advantages of simple structure, small volume, no switching valve, low maintenance, fast gas production (3 minutes), and convenient capacity expansion. It is particularly suitable for small users with nitrogen purity of 98%. On the other hand, when the nitrogen purity is above 98%, the price will be more than 15% higher than that of PSA nitrogen production machinery of the same specification.
